The rhythm of us 2
This pastel belongs to a diptych that tells the story of love for me. While I worked on it, one thought kept singing in my head: There is no greater force on earth than love; even when darkness threatens, love will always prevail.
In this first part, I painted a nighttime city, full of color and music. The violinist hovers above the rooftops, his melody touches the moon and the stars, as if he is scattering light in the darkness. He symbolizes the power of art and music to connect hearts, even in times of uncertainty.
At the bottom, two lovers embrace each other. Their connection is the focal point of my work. In their touch lies hope, tenderness, and the belief that love transcends all. The bright colors and sharp lines enhance that feeling: love is powerful, clear, and unbreakable.
The second part of this diptych shows how this same rhythm of love flows into daily life, in moments of joy and sorrow. Together, both works form an ode to the love that endures, regardless of the shadows that sometimes fall over us.
With this diptych, I want to show that as long as music plays and people find each other, the light will never disappear.
