About the work
a visual meditation on movement and silence
When I created this image, I wanted to fold a world where simplicity and depth come together. The geometric waves are not random shapes—they are rhythms. Each plane, each line is a breath of the ocean. Not the wild chaos of water, but the controlled power of paper that can be shaped.
The rowers are travelers, but not in the traditional sense. They move through a landscape that is as still as it is powerful. Their conical hats and sober clothing are a tribute to tradition, to the realization that even in a digital world, the echo of the past continues to resonate. They are small against the waves, but not lost. They are present. Aware.
The mountains in the background are like watchers. Their sharp lines and snow-capped peaks symbolize distance, but also direction. They are the goal, or perhaps just the beginning. For in this world of folded forms, nothing is fixed—everything is potential.
I chose pastel blues and whites to create space. Not only visually, but emotionally. The colors invite reflection. They whisper before they speak. This work is not a story with a plot, but a moment of stillness. An invitation to slow down, to look, and to lose yourself in the simplicity of form.
